Rules to Succeed

Pictures and Video

Taking Pictures and Video inside of our Escape Rooms is prohibited.

Surveillance!

The rooms are equipped security cameras, recording and other surveillance equipment including audio.

Hints and Clues

Each room has its own way of getting unique clues and hints. We are glad to help you by offering clues and hints, however, we will only do so upon your request.

Items that are not relevant to the game and thus should not be touched or manipulated

You will see various items in the room with orange dots on them. This means they are not clues and you should not waste your time with these items as they aren’t relevant to your game. If any of these items are tampered with or disturbed your game may be stopped and terminated with out a refund.

If you’re planning to get some drinks while you’re attending Escape Room NJ

Please plan to do this after the game, not before. You’ll want to have all of your brain cells working at 100% capacity while you’re in the room! PLEASE NOTE: If members of your group appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be allowed in the room. This decision will be made at the discretion of our staff and no refunds or exchanges will be permitted. We take this very seriously as it could cause damage to the room, to yourself or others, and adversely affect others enjoyment of the experience.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes early or you may not be able to participate. Don’t damage the items!

Allow ample time for driving downtown, finding parking, and calling upon arrival with your groups code. There are no refunds or exchanges or credits toward future performances so please allow more time than you think you might need – Traffic in the downtown area can be unpredictably heavy at random times of the day or evening. If you arrive after the door to the room has been locked, you will not be allowed to participate.

Personal items

Please don’t bring any personal items into the room. Cell phones will be placed on silent, put in a box and locked in your room with you. You can leave your prom gown and tux at home. Wear anything you are comfortable in, but the most activity you will be engaging in may be squatting down or getting on your knees to look under or to get a closer look at something. If you wear reading glasses, it might be advisable to bring them. Please wear socks as shoes will also be removed before entering the room (we do sell socks, however you will not have to buy any if you bring your own).

Who shouldn’t play the game?

People suffering from claustrophobia, panic attacks, asthma, heart disease, infectious diseases or other health-threatening illnesses are not advised to participate in the game. Players who are pregnant or elderly are also not advised to participate in the game. If a player with such conditions decides to participate, Escape Room NJ and Kids Rule Parties Inc. accept no responsibility for any resulting accidents, damages, or impairment of health. Kids under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Emergency Key

In an emergency you may use the the spare key that is found in each room. It is located by the exit door and labeled in a black box with picture of a key on it. If you use this key the game is over.
