Tips and Tricks

DON’T JUST SIT THERE!

There are clues scattered throughout the room. Move, touch, pull, turn, twist and open as many things as you can to find clues.

SHARE YOUR FINDINGS

The only way to solve the puzzles and escape is to put all of the clues together. A safe may take two or three clues to open. Gather your clues in one spot and work as a collaborative unit with the other adventurers to come up with solutions.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR CLUES

However, remember after your 3 clues each additional clue will take away  5 minutes from your time.

LET SOMEONE ELSE TRY

If a participant thinks that they have the correct answer and a clue will not open…..THEY HAVE THE WRONG ANSWER OR THEY DIDN’T PUT IN THE ANSWER CORRECTLY! Have someone else try it. The riddles are obvious to some people and appear impossible to others. Have everyone give the riddle a shot. This will be one of your best tips to escape!

DON’T GIVE UP!

The participants that don’t escape stop looking for clues, stop trying different combinations and believe they can’t figure it out. Keep having different participants try the solve the clues, keep looking at the riddle and keep trying any possible combination. The worst thing you can do is “NOTHING”. Keep moving, keep looking, keep trying and never give up!

DON’T IGNORE ITEMS THAT YOU’VE UNLOCKED

Most of the items are in the room for a reason; especially if you and your team unlocked it. When in doubt, revisit the items your team had attained and see if any can be used for the particular task that you’re focusing on. Sometimes, items may have more than one attribute that you may have ignored previously because it wasn’t relevant!

PLAN TO ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY OR YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE

Allow ample time for driving downtown, finding parking, and calling upon arrival with your groups code. There are no refunds or exchanges or credits toward future performances so please allow more time than you think you might need – Traffic in the downtown area can be unpredictably heavy at random times of the day or evening. If you arrive after the door to the room has been locked, you will not be allowed to participate.

* PLEASE arrive 15 -20 minutes before your scheduled session time. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the room.
